Selena Gomez’s Pink Chainmail Dress in Single Soon Cover

Selena Gomez is giving us major outfit envy to go with her new music announcement. Sharing teaser photos on Aug. 17 wearing a striking Barbiecore look, the multi-hyphenate revealed “Single Soon,” which she described as the perfect “end of summer” song.

On the cover of her single, Gomez wore a hot pink chainmail minidress with a purple feather jacket draped over her shoulders. A fuchsia-colored Victoria’s Secret bra peeked out from under the shimmery Versace number, which featured a halter design and plunging draped neckline. With help from her new stylist Erin Walsh, she completed the look with a variety of accessories including a pearl “S” choker from Jennifer Fisher, a butterfly necklace from James Banks Design, studded hoop earrings, and stacked gold bracelets. The party ensemble is reminiscent of Paris Hilton’s iconic 21st birthday dress, perhaps indicating Gomez’s new hit will be a nostalgic banger.

“Single Soon” is set to release on Aug. 25, and while it’s unclear whether Gomez will also drop a music video in conjunction, her teaser photos hint there may be more to come. The new single is her first solo release in two years, following her 2021 Spanish EP, “Revelación.”

Aside from working on her upcoming album, currently being referred to as “SG3,” Gomez has been serving countless looks as of late. At her 31st birthday bash in July, she stole the spotlight in a strapless red Bottega Veneta dress covered in leather flower petals. In celebration of her big day, the singer also hosted a Barbie-themed party, where she stunned in a hot pink halter minidress.
