Noah Media Group Has Promoted Esther Randall To COO

EXCLUSIVE: 14 Peaks producer Noah Media Group has promoted Esther Randall to Chief Operating Officer.

Randall was previously Head of Legal and Business Affairs and took up the new post this month. In the newly-created role, she will work across day-to-day operations alongside joining the board.

Randall joined Noah in 2021, helping the company produce and deliver a number of projects. Prior to Noah, she spent nine years as Head of Film and TV at iLaw Solicitors, where she acted for a number of clients, including Noah.

CEO John McKenna described her as a “trusted and talented colleague, who I’ve worked with closely since Noah formed.” “She is respected by everyone in the company and is a key person in how we operate,” he added. “Working together in this new way will allow us to maximise the exciting opportunities we have, deliver the brilliant projects from our creative team in the best possible way and realise our production and technology ambitions.”

Randall said the team has “some fantastic projects in production and a strong development slate.”

London-headquartered Noah makes sports shows and premium docs including the likes of Netflix’s 14 Peaks: Nothing is Impossible about a Nepalese mountaineer’s climbing feat, along with projects on Ricky Hatton, Arsène Wenger, Jack Charlton and the England cricket team.

The company raised $2.7m from private investors including former XIX Entertainment president James Clayton, Hollywood entertainment lawyer Kevin Yorn and former Wired editor David Rowan in 2021. Just over a year later, it launched a multi-million dollar content fund. We revealed in April that it had laid off a small number of staff after restructuring to focus on international docs
