Middle School Teacher Caught on Camera Locking Screaming Child in Closet and Forbidding His Classmates to Help Him

A Minnesotan teacher in the Jackson County Central School District has been the talk of the town, using two chairs to lock a middle schooler in the closet and forbidding his classmates to help him as they watch him asking for help.

The 54-second video shows a student locked in the school closet and begging to be let out as other students laugh.

One tender-hearted girl approaches the closet in an attempt to help him out, but not until the teacher says, “No, no, no, no, no, uh huh.” The teacher’s threat was more than enough to scare the young girl, who walks away as she says, “I’m not even doing anything,”

Other Students keep watching and laughing out loud as the locked student knocks on the closet’s doors and asks, “Can I have help?”

The short video was first posted on Facebook, then it went viral and reached other social media platforms, upsetting many social media users who were disgusted by the teacher’s behavior.

A Reddit user even encouraged the student to sue the teacher. They posted, “You should’ve gone to your lawyers. There’s no way this is legal,”

Another user shared a similar horrifying experience to this one. They commented, “I was locked in a closet in the 2 grade.”

Other Reddit users thought this teacher is normalizing abuse. They shared, “If you listen closely, you can hear the sounds of kids being conditioned that abusing others is normal and funny,”

On the other hand, a few people were only concerned about what this student did to end up in the school’s closet, but they will soon get the typical and logical response, “no one deserves to be locked in a closet.”

The incident, which allegedly took place in September, was covered by local news.

According to the Jackson County Pilot, the alleged classroom incident involving a middle school student locked in a closet is being investigated.

“The health and safety of your children is one of the top priorities of the District,” the district stated in an attempt to assure concerned parents.

But until the moment, there have been no more updates from the district about the status of the teacher accused of locking his student in the school’s closet.
