Harrison Ford To Receive 2024 Critics Choice’s Career Achievement Award – Deadline


Harrison Ford will receive the Career Achievement Award on Sunday at the 29th annual Critics Choice Awards.

The actor, who starred in both iconic Star Wars and Indiana Jones franchises, is coming off starring over the summer in the fifth Indy installment, Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny, which premiered at Cannes where he received an honorary lifetime Palme d’Or. He also stars in Apple TV+’s Shrinking, for which he is up for a Critics Choice Award this year, and stars opposite Helen Mirren in the Yellowstone spinoff series 1923.

Next up, he Ford plays Thaddeus “Thunderbolt” Ross in Marvel Studios’ Captain America: Brave New World.

In total, he has appeared in eight films that have gone on to be nominated for the Best Picture Oscar. He was nominated for Best Actor in 1986 for Witness.

Ford’s life achievement honor will come at the Critics Choice Awards, which will air live on the CW on Sunday. Chelsea Handler is the host.

This year’s nominees are led by Barbie, with a record 18 nominations overall. The Morning Show leads the television contenders with six noms.

Also at this year’s ceremony, America Ferrera will receive the CCA’s eighth annual SeeHer Award.
