Casual Fridays – What’s Haute™
Working from home, every day is a casual day. Casual Fridays all the time. But I like to add a little flair here and there. Enter this Exaggerated-Sleeve Faux-Leather Blazer (sold out, but you can get a very similar option here). I call it my “shrimp blazer” due to the super exaggerated shoulders. Do you see it?! I love weird and interesting details on clothing, especially on jackets, tops, or dresses. So as soon as I saw this fun little blazer, I knew I had to have it. I paired it with this Nation LTD Berit Tank in python print (sold out but you can shop this similar option or other Nation tanks here). I can’t resist a good cami or tank top – even in the winter. They’re perfect for layering, and this one worked so well underneath my shrimp blazer.
The best black jeans for curvy girls that never steer me wrong are Paige and Levi’s (what I’m wearing here). These Levi’s 721 High-Rise Skinny Jeans in Soft Black – Waterless are my recent faves – they’re lightweight, gently hug my curves, and they are as comfortable as leggings but give the full coverage of denim. And you can’t complete a look without a pair of trusty Christian Louboutin Pigalle Follies Leather Pumps. Granted, these are near impossible to walk comfortably in, especially on the cobblestone streets of Georgetown, but you don’t need more than a peek of red bottoms.
