This is the secret to Suki Waterhouse’s red carpet glow (and no, it’s not just pregnancy)

There’s no denying Suki Waterhouse was a complete and total stunner on the Emmy’s red carpet earlier this week. From her backless Valentino gown to her flawless bump, she shined from the inside out. And while it’s true that radiance could be contributed to the famed “pregnancy glow,” she also had a little help from–wait for it–sunscreen.

If the word sunscreen instantly kicks up images of gloppy white lotion that leaves you looking like a pasty ghost, just pause right there. Arguably the most important step in any skincare routine (yes, even in the winter), the right SPF can not only protect you from damaging rays–it can give you a healthy “your skin but better” luminescence that’s obviously red carpet worthy. According to his post on Instagram, famed make-up artist Benjamin Puckey turned to the viral Australian brand Naked Sundays, to create Waterhouse’s impeccable illumination. Want to know how exactly? We’ve got you.

Naked Sundays, the Aussie brand turning sun protection into a beauty no-brainer has quickly developed a cult-following. Their easy-to-wear line includes SPF that plays nice with your makeup, all while being vegan and cruelty-free. It’s the perfect blend for beauty mavens who want to shield their skin and still shine–sun care, but make it fashion. For Waterhouse’s Emmys look, Puckey turned to a collection of Naked Sundays’ products to magnify her mama-to-be radiance.

First, he prepped her bare skin with Naked Sundays’ Collagen Glow 100% Mineral Lotion SPF 50. This tinted primer is infused with vegan collagen and watermelon extract to help hydrate and smooth fine lines. According to rave reviews it gives a gorgeous finish on its own, but also plays perfectly well with a full face of make-up over top. (Read: It won’t leave you looking like a melty mess an hour after you leave the house.)

Because Waterhouse’s dramatic back and side-baring gown required an all-over glow, Puckey also opted to illuminate her exposed skin by applying the firming, hydrating and illuminating SPF 50 Golden Glow Body Sunscreen across her décolletage, arms, belly, and back with the brand’s SPF Body Buffing Brush. (P.S. Applying SPF with a brush is a total game changer.) The lightweight formula offers a subtle bronzing effect thanks to gold flecks that are shimmery, not glittery and green tea extract to help firm and calm skin. (Remember what I said about gloppy, ghastly formulas? This is the complete, exact opposite. Like Bali beach vibes from minute one.)

Finally, to bring the whole gleaming look together, he relied on the brand’s viral, 150,000 waitlist-strong CabanaGlow SPF50 Mineral Glow Serum Drops in the shade Illuminating. The tinted serum sunscreen drops act like a supercharged highlighter, bringing make-up and skincare together in a harmonious, step-saving matrimony. (Amen.) Available in three shades–Pearl, Illuminating, and Bronze–they instantly lend a did she just get back from vacation glow that’s gorg whether you have staff to apply them or not.
