“We’re making something that’s never been done before.” Abramorama has unveiled an official trailer for a documentary film titled Holy Frit, from filmmaker Justin S. Monroe. This first premiered a few years ago at the 2021 Slamdance Film Festival, with stops at the Portland & Warsaw Film Festivals that year. Now it’s finally opening in limited theaters this fall. This sounds like a fascinating story. Tim Carey is a talented, yet unknown Los Angeles-based artist. As a Hail Mary, Tim and the company he works for bluff their way into winning the commission to make the world’s largest stained-glass window of its kind, beating companies around the globe. But the problem is, Tim has no idea how to make his wild and complicated design. After a desperate search, Tim comes to learn about someone who might have the answer… a world-famous, Italian glass maestro named Narcissus Quagliata – who has a special way of making glass do things that Tim didn’t know were possible. From the moment Narcissus arrives, Tim quickly learns that his personal talent and humor can only take him so far… Will they finish the job? Discover the full story in this compelling doc.

Monroe, director of the doc film The Rock ‘n’ Roll Dreams of Duncan Christopher previously, plus a few other shorts; and a producer of The Unraveling (2015). Produced by Chris Saito and Justin S. Monroe. This initially premiered at the 2021 Slamdance Film Festival a few years ago. Abramorama will debut Holy Frit in select US theaters (NY & LA) starting on October 27th, 2023 this fall.
