During the interview, Cindy was being introduced to audiences alongside her Elite Model Management representative, John Casablancas, when Oprah made comments about her slenderness.

“Did she always have this body? Stand up just a moment,” Oprah is seen saying, just as Cindy stands up and shows off her body. “Now this is what I call a body,” Oprah added.

The audience was noticeably silent.

Reflecting on the moment during the new docuseries, Cindy says that he was “like the chattel or a child, be seen and not hear.”

“When you look at it through today’s eyes, when Oprah’s like, ‘Stand up and show me your body. Show us why you’re worthy of being here,’” she added. “In the moment I didn’t recognize it, only when I look back at it am I like, ‘Oh my gosh, that was so not okay, really. Especially from Oprah.’”

Elsewhere in the docuseries, Cindy also looked back on her brief relationship with Richard Gere.
