There is a lot of pageantry with the big celebration. The decorations are vibrant with red, white and blue colors. If you have a 4th of July celebration in your neighborhood, gather the kids on the block with their bicycles.

Provide materials for the kids to decorate their bikes in red, white, and blue colors:

  • Balloons
  • Streamers
  • Glitter
  • Construction paper
  • 4th of July decorations

Once they have all finished decorating their bikes, have the whole neighborhood gather and watch the kids parade up and down the block on their bikes.
